Our Friday lunchtime yoga classes are taught by Lucy Aston RYT RCYT – UK Yoga alliance accredited meditation, Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow yoga teacher and founder of YOGADOO, which brings a refreshing new way to practise yoga for all.
Lucy has practised yoga on and off for 20 years, but never really enjoyed going to yoga classes in yoga studios, preferring instead to practise yoga at home alone. It was after Lucy’s eight year old son Freddie asked her to teach yoga at his school that she decided to train as a children’s yoga and mindfulness teacher.
She then started to teach yoga in schools in the Bath area, and as time went on parents asked Lucy to set up an adult yoga class which followed the same principle as the children’s classes – a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, good music and yoga taught in an approachable and accessible way.
After travelling to India to gain her Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and meditation qualifications, Lucy set up YOGADOO – which teaches yoga in a non-spiritual way (no ‘om’s’ or chanting) to everyone from children aged 18 months through to older people in their eighties and nineties. Her adult classes in Bath sell out each week.
So, after a successful launch in Bath, Lucy has now brought YOGADOO to Bristol with two weekly lunchtime classes (for beginners to intermediates) on a Friday – the perfect way to unwind from the week and get ready for the weekend. Taught in a Vinyasa Flow style, you’ll come away from a YOGADOO class feeling refreshed and inspired to continue your yoga practice away from the studio.
