Kate is an experienced yoga instructor with a passion and commitment to share the contribution yoga can have in maintaining a healthy body and mind.
Kate began to practise yoga regularly in her early twenties and it soon became clear to her that yoga not only improved her physical well-being, but was a useful tool in enabling her to find more clarity and focus at difficult times, and generally allowed her to have a more relaxed and positive state of mind. At busy, stressful times, she found herself constantly turning to yoga and would walk out of class feeling revitalised, relaxed and much happier!
After practising yoga for 10 years she realised she wanted to share the benefits with others and completed her teacher training in July 2011. She has been inspired by different yoga schools, but her more recent practice and teaching has evolved from the late Vanda Scaravelli. Her lunchtime classes are for those wishing to fit yoga into their busy day. Great for helping to alleviate stress and anxiety, rejuvenate your body and focus your mind for the afternoon tasks.
She says: “I welcome everyone to join me, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. I offer a friendly, warm, down-to-earth environment, where I encourage my students to work in an open, sensitive and inquisitive way. I will help find different ways of approaching the asanas to suit the individual and offer gentle hands on encouragement when required.”
